Robert F. Lehman, PRESIDENT - served as president of the Fetzer Institute from 1989 to 1998, advancing its mission to integrate the inner life of mind and spirit with the outer life of service and action. Under his leadership, the Institute significantly contributed to the development of key fields, including mind-body-spirit health, social and emotional learning, contemplative practice, and scientific research on love and forgiveness. During his tenure, Rob also oversaw the creation of the Institute’s retreat center, Seasons, as a dialogic convening space, and GilChrist as a public contemplative retreat center.

Rob served as chairman of the Fetzer Institute's Board of Trustees from 1999 to 2016, during which he established a deeply engaged model of governance, fostering collaboration and alignment with the Institute’s mission. He has served as President Emeritus at the Fetzer Institute since 2017.

Jay A. Fishman, CHAIR - is currently the president of Jay A. Fishman, Ltd, an independent registered investment advisory firm Jay formed in 1970. Jay’s prior experience included being an Investment Analyst in the trust department of the National Bank of Detroit (currently JP Morgan Chase & Co,) as well as a faculty position with the School of Business at Western Michigan University, from which he had previously attained Bachelor (1966) and Master (1967) of Business Administration degrees. During this period, Jay also co-authored the book Corporations in Conflict: The Tender Offer and several related articles. In 2019, Jay received the Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award from the School of Business at Western Michigan University.

Jay is currently a member of the Investment Analysts Society of Detroit and the Detroit Economic Club. He serves as a Director Emeritus of the Western Michigan University Foundation. In addition, Jay was an organizer of Valley Commerce Bank in Phoenix, Arizona in 1994 and served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee until he led the Bank's sale in 2005.

John B. Lehman, SECRETARY- is the Vice President for University Relations and Enrollment at Michigan Technological University. He holds a PhD in College and University Leadership from Colorado State University. John’s experience includes service as the former board chair for the Keweenaw Community Foundation and as a long-standing trustee for the Detroit Pre-College Engineering Program. He is also a board member of Upper Peninsula Health System - Portage. Nationally, John contributes to higher education through his membership on the Educational Advisory Board’s National Advisory Council for Enrollment and his role as a faculty member with Academic Impressions.

Eric J. Fishman, TREASURER - is a Portfolio Manager with Jay A. Fishman, Ltd. Eric attended Upper Canada College in Toronto, Canada. He then studied at the University of Michigan and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree with distinction, and majored in Economics. Following graduation from the University of Michigan, Eric was employed by Aspiriant in Los Angeles in their wealth management department prior to joining Jay A. Fishman, Ltd.
